John Unger, Man In Heart-Wrenching Photo With His Dog Schoep, Adopts New Pup
No dog will ever replace Schoep.The adorable, arthritic dog became an Internet sensation in 2013 when photographer Hannah Stonehouse Hudsonsnapped a photo of Schoep and his human, John Unger, embracing in the waters of Lake Superior. Unger regularly waded in the water with Schoep to relieve the aging pooch’s arthritis.

The dog has an issue where his esophagus doesn’t work right; it doesn’t get food in there right because it’s all stretched out and stuff. So what dog owners (and cat owners and I guarantee you the cat ones look goofier) do is make a highchair and feed them upright so gravity can be a hero. It’s also really cute.
The disorder is called Megaesophagus.

Monkey Adopts A Puppy, Defends It From Stray Dogs, And Lets It Eat First
Earlier this month, a rhesus macaque monkey adopted a puppy in Rode, India. After watching the monkey defend the little dog from strays, the locals were so impressed that they set out food for the two unusual companions. To everyone’s surprise, the monkey was so compassionate that it even let the dog eat first!
“People who have seen them spoke of their strong mutual affection and described their bond as the most caring thing in the world — to take care of a puppy in danger and protect him like a parent,” reports Zee News. “Their undying affection gives us a valuable lesson about relationships.” (Source)
